Identifiability

If you're a woman looking to not be pestered, I'm not sure why you'd use your mike on open XBox Live play. Female voices are fairly identifiable. The moment you speak in an open channel, someone knows you're female. If that person is the type who's going to pester a woman, you've just told them who to pester.

Gamer Girls

I probably know a few people who'd get a special appreciation of this article. Married to one, even. I mean, yeah, Donna's not going to end up heading up a panel on first person shooters, but, she at least understands the joy massacring hoards of aliens or the undead.

And, yes, my gamer girl comes in a size other than "really, really big boned". Even more, if she were to dress up and go to a con, she'd not have to make many adjustments to "to accomodate the difference between ... online avatar and reality."
